THE DEAD FIR TREE COMING DOWN

This dead tree was leaning towards houses on Penelope Rd
so Peter Hammond hired a man with a chain saw

Going --

Going!!

Timber!

Then they moved to the garden at the
Emmarentia  Rd entrance - another fallen tree

And cut enough of it to open the path

A few days later yet another tree came down
at top dam and blocked that path

Peter managed to saw enough to open that route

STANDARD DRIVE PARKING AREA

The grass and weeds were unsightly
 along our flower bed

so we dug them out

And the other side - much neater

 AT  ROAD No 3 ENTRANCE

The little corner garden is looking colourful and pretty
( the rubble has gone now)

But this area was full of blackjacks and weeds

Shepherd and Wilson sorted that out.

And planted the  agapanthus which were moved from the
the island in Jan Smuts island  Ave
It should look wonderful when in bloom

ON THE SCHOOL EMBANKMENT

The blackjacks were flowering so it
was time to have then brushcut down

Much better and they shouldn't grow
again until the next rains

 FLORENCE BLOOM  BIRD SANCTUARY

This huge tree had fallen onto the dam wall

Peter an Arkim start....

Arkim clearing the branches blocking the wall

Heavo!

Now to move this big log.(Coke helps!)

Pull!

Whew! the wall is clear again
 well done guys!

 That's all folks
