THE DEAD FIR TREE COMING DOWN
This dead tree was leaning towards houses on Penelope Rd
so Peter Hammond hired a man with a chain saw
Going --
Going!!
Timber!
Then they moved to the garden at the
Emmarentia Rd entrance - another fallen tree
And cut enough of it to open the path
A few days later yet another tree came down
at top dam and blocked that path
Peter managed to saw enough to open that route
STANDARD DRIVE PARKING AREA
The grass and weeds were unsightly
along our flower bed
so we dug them out
And the other side - much neater
AT ROAD No 3 ENTRANCE
The little corner garden is looking colourful and pretty
( the rubble has gone now)
But this area was full of blackjacks and weeds
Shepherd and Wilson sorted that out.
And planted the agapanthus which were moved from the
the island in Jan Smuts island Ave
It should look wonderful when in bloom
ON THE SCHOOL EMBANKMENT
The blackjacks were flowering so it
was time to have then brushcut down
Much better and they shouldn't grow
again until the next rains
FLORENCE BLOOM BIRD SANCTUARY
This huge tree had fallen onto the dam wall

Now to move this big log.(Coke helps!)

Whew! the wall is clear again
